Mum has been a resident since 2020. Her mental well-being has greatly improved since being at Daffodil Lodge Care Home. The staff are wonderful, the activities are amazing and I cannot praise enough the care that Mum has received. Due to health and personal reasons, I cannot visit Mum but I know she is well cared for, loved and happy at Daffodil Lodge. I am kept up to date with her care at all times and it is so reassuring.
Thank you.

Due to a poor experience with a previous home, we moved Mum to Daffodil Lodge Care Home on a recommendation. We have been absolutely delighted with the wonderful, homely atmosphere within the home. All the staff treat Mum with the utmost respect, I have also witnessed this with the other residents too. Mum is cared for very, very well. I visit the home very regularly and I am always welcomed in, regardless of time. Highly recommended!

Person Centred Care Plans

We take the time to understand each resident's unique needs, preferences, and medical history. We then create a personalised care plan that ensures they receive the right level of support and assistance to thrive.

Our team is comprised of highly trained and dedicated caregivers who are passionate about providing compassionate care with a human touch. We build relationships with residents, fostering a sense of trust and respect.

Our Wellbeing Programme

We recognise that well-being encompasses physical, mental, social, and emotional aspects. Our activities and wellbeing programme offers a variety of activities and therapies to keep residents engaged, active, and connected.

Independence

We believe in empowering residents to maintain their independence for as long as possible. Our team provides assistance with daily living activities in a respectful and dignified manner, while also encouraging residents to participate in self-care tasks to the best of their abilities.

Family Involvement

We see families as an integral part of the team at Daffodil Lodge. We encourage open communication and collaboration, keeping families informed about their loved one's well-being and involving them in care decisions, we invite families to eat with loved ones and take part in activities and celebrations regularly.

In addition to the core aspects of care, we offer a variety of enriching programs and amenities:

  • Social Activities & Events: We host a calendar of engaging activities and social gatherings designed to stimulate residents’ minds, bodies, and spirits.

At our homes in Southport we provide Residential, Respite and Dementia Care.

Conducted by local authorities to determine what care and support a person needs, a care needs assessment provides recommendations on how and what care should be provided. A needs assessment is free and if you or a loved one is considering moving into a care home you should contact your local authority.

Sometimes, daily living can become more challenging as we age. This doesn’t necessarily mean moving to a care home, but it’s a good time to explore your options. Here are some signs that a care home might provide the additional support needed:

  • Increased Difficulty with Daily Tasks: Struggling with activities like bathing, dressing, or preparing meals can be a sign that extra assistance is needed.
  • Safety Concerns: Frequent falls or difficulty managing medications could indicate a need for a more secure environment.
  • Declining Health: A rapid decline in physical or mental health may necessitate a higher level of care.
  • Social Isolation: Loneliness can negatively impact well-being. Care homes offer opportunities for social interaction and engagement.
  • Caregiver Strain: While family and friends can be a tremendous source of support, sometimes they may not be able to provide the level of care needed.

It’s the proposed resident’s choice, but there are a few scenarios where it is somebody else’s such as, the proposed resident doesn’t have capacity, a serious mental health issue or they don’t have capacity.
