Daffodil Lodge specialises in respite, EMI and dementia care in Southport. Our home has been tailored to the requirements of EMI residents including those living with dementia, with specialist staff on hand to provide 24/7 support.
Dementia and EMI
Our Southport care home has been designed with expert dementia care in mind. Spacious communal areas, comforting décor and plenty of natural light create a dementia-friendly environment, with a stimulating garden area for residents to enjoy.
Most importantly, we provide the specialist care and support needed by EMI residents and those living with dementia. Our team of over 30 staff have been specially trained to understand the different types of EMI and dementia, and the challenges faced by those living with the disorders.
That’s complemented by a personal approach. From move in, our team is fully aware of new residents, with time allocated to get to know them, their likes, dislikes, dietary requirements and – above all else – their personality. We also minimise use of agency staff to maintain a family atmosphere, so residents are familiar with those providing care and support.
Respite
From a single day to several weeks, we provide respite care when you or your loved one need it most. Residents are welcomed into our family with the same personal approach and the highest levels of care and support.
We also provide end-of-life care. Our team has a good working relationship with outside agencies and professionals, which enables us to look after your loved one in their final days – and ensure a dignified and pain-free passing in a caring environment.
