Our Story
Where It All Began
Our beautiful care home was founded in March 2018 as part of the Prime Care family. We’re dedicated to continuing the high levels of care and support on offer at our sister home, Marina, located on the same street. We’re proud that both homes have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission – and strive to continually provide a high standard of care.
That begins with our home’s design, which has been tailored to the needs of EMI residents and those living with dementia. Calming décor, comfortable surroundings and spacious rooms with plenty of natural light have come together to create a truly dementia-friendly environment.
In the Spotlight
Our invaluable staff
Housing up to 28 residents in complete luxury, it’s fair to say our home has a family feel. Our staff are a key part of that family. We minimise agency use, so residents are looked after by people they know and love.
As well as being highly trained, our staff get to know each resident, their likes, dislikes and requirements. That helps us go beyond care, to build meaningful relationships and have fun spending time together.
Services
Family and community
We aim to make the transition to care as easy as possible for residents’ family and friends. With a tight-knit group of residents, family members can speak to a manager without the need to make an appointment. Visitors are welcome 24/7 and the home is child-friendly and pet-friendly, so you can work to your own schedule and bring along whoever you wish. With a bit of notice, you can even dine with us on your visit.
Our home also has strong links with the local community. Members of the local church come to our home for communion, with many residents attending church on a Sunday. We also have children visiting from the local nursery, giving residents the multiple benefits of intergenerational interactions.
